Where information comes from

We obtain personal information from these sources:

  • You. Information you provide when you create an account, configure a workspace, upload content, communicate with us, or use the website and platform.
  • Advisors and other workspace users. Information that advisors, members, or other authorized users supply about contacts, travelers, leads, recipients, Community participants, or event registrants in order to use the service.
  • Connected services. Information made available when an advisor connects a third-party account or channel (for example social platforms, messaging providers, or content sources) so SocialJet can provide publishing, messaging, import, or related features.
  • Automatic collection. Technical and usage information generated when you use the website or platform, such as logs and service-usage counters needed to operate and secure the service.
  • Service providers. Limited administrative information returned by providers that help us operate billing, delivery, infrastructure, or analytics after consent, as described in this policy.

How we use information and legal bases

When SocialJet determines the purposes and means of processing (for example for this website, accounts, billing, security, and our own communications), we rely on the legal bases that apply to that activity. The table below describes those controller purposes and the corresponding bases.

PurposeLegal basis (where GDPR or similar rules apply)

When SocialJet processes advisor-managed contacts, travelers, leads, recipients, or related campaign and messaging data on an advisor’s behalf, the advisor is responsible for the lawful basis for that processing. SocialJet processes that information to provide the requested service features.

We also use personal information to:

  • operate publishing, messaging, campaigns, analytics, Community, and live-event features requested through the platform; and
  • support AI-assisted drafting and autonomy features under the advisor’s selected workspace settings.

Our role when handling information

SocialJet’s responsibilities depend on the context in which information is handled:

  • Website, accounts, billing, security, and our own communications. For SocialJet’s own marketing website, account administration, billing, security of the service, and communications we send as SocialJet, we determine the relevant purposes and means of processing and take corresponding responsibility as a controller (or “business,” under California terminology where it applies).
  • Advisor-managed contacts, travelers, leads, and campaign recipients. When SocialJet handles contact, traveler, lead, or recipient information on an advisor’s behalf to provide campaign, messaging, or related features, SocialJet acts as a service provider / processor for that advisor. Advisors remain responsible for the lists they upload, the permissions they hold, and the messages they send.
  • Media, AI, Community, and event information. Treatment can depend on the purpose. For example, SocialJet may process uploaded media or AI interactions solely to provide the advisor’s requested service, while separately determining purposes such as security, abuse prevention, moderation, or service integrity. Community and live-event information may also differ between SocialJet-hosted Community activity and advisor-hosted client events.

Service providers

We use service providers to help operate SocialJet. Depending on the feature, those providers may fall into categories such as:

  • infrastructure and hosting;
  • payment processing;
  • email delivery;
  • analytics;
  • AI / model services;
  • social-platform APIs; and
  • security and operational tooling.

We do not publish a named vendor list on this page. Where providers process personal information for us, they are engaged to do so for the service purposes described here and under contractual arrangements appropriate to their role.

International processing

SocialJet is a Canadian company. Our core platform infrastructure operates in Canada. Service providers we use may also process information in other countries, including the United States. Those countries may have different data-protection and lawful-access rules.

Under Canadian privacy rules, a transfer of personal information for processing remains SocialJet’s responsibility. We remain accountable for personal information we transfer for processing and require comparable protection through contractual and organizational measures appropriate to the transfer.

Where personal information is transferred from the European Economic Area to SocialJet in Canada for our own processing, that transfer can rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for Canada. Where providers process information in other countries, including the United States, those transfers occur under the contractual arrangements that apply to each provider relationship. If you need details about the transfer safeguards used for a specific provider category, contacthello@socialjet.ai.

Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect security. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or anonymize it where appropriate. Retention periods vary by category and context; if you have a question about a specific category, contact us.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including workspace isolation and access controls appropriate to the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Where a qualifying incident creates a real risk of significant harm or otherwise triggers a notification duty, we notify affected parties as soon as feasible.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and your relationship to SocialJet, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents may also have rights to know, delete, correct, and limit certain uses of personal information, and rights against discrimination for exercising privacy rights, where applicable.

To make a request about information SocialJet holds about you as a SocialJet user or website visitor, contact hello@socialjet.ai. Where the GDPR applies, we respond within one month. Where PIPEDA applies to an access request, we respond within 30 calendar days. An extension is available only in the circumstances allowed by the statute; if we extend a PIPEDA access request, we notify you within the initial 30-day period as required.

If your request concerns advisor-managed contacts, travelers, leads, or campaign recipients, please contact the advisor who controls that relationship first. Where SocialJet acts as a processor / service provider for that advisor, we assist the advisor in responding as required.

You may also complain to a data-protection authority. In Canada, that includes the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. In the EEA or UK, that includes your local supervisory authority. California residents may also contact the California Attorney General or other applicable state regulators.

AI and autonomy

SocialJet assists with content drafting and can act according to the advisor’s selected autonomy mode — for example reviewing everything before it runs, allowing confidence-gated automation, or using Full Autopilot inside rules the advisor defines. Advisors remain responsible for the work that runs from their workspace under the mode they choose.

SocialJet processes prompts, instructions, generated drafts, and related content to deliver those AI features for your workspace. Separately, SocialJet uses approved outputs, human edits, review events, preference pairs, and related product-usage signals to improve SocialJet’s own learning systems. That learning is brand- and workspace-specific where enough approved examples exist for a brand adapter, and it also contributes to SocialJet’s broader training corpus used to improve the product. SocialJet’s AI features are not used to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals within the meaning of rules that apply only to that category of processing.

Community and live events

SocialJet hosts a moderated Community and supports live events. Moderated categories include harassment, spam, illegal content, impersonation, infringement, and unsafe conduct. SocialJet may remove or restrict content or access that violates those rules.

Community activity

SocialJet-hosted Community activity — such as profiles, posts, comments, messages, and Community events — is distinct from advisor-hosted client events. Information shared in Community surfaces may be visible to other participants according to the feature and settings in use.

Live events

Live events may involve invitations, registration, reminders, live chat, moderation, recording or replay, and event analytics where those capabilities are used. Where recordings are used, participants receive appropriate notice and any required consent for the recording context. Recording defaults and retention for a given event follow the notice and settings presented for that event.

Website analytics preferences

This website uses its own first-party preference control to manage optional analytics. It does not use a third-party cookie-consent vendor as the consent authority. Your choice is stored only in a small necessary preference cookie named sj_consent_v1, which holds either analytics-granted or analytics-denied and lasts up to 180 days. The cookie stores only that choice — not your name, email address, or other direct identifiers.

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics do not load before a persisted, confirmed analytics grant. No analytics request reaches Google before that consent. After you grant analytics, Google Analytics receives information about how the website is used. SocialJet does not intentionally send names, email addresses, or other direct identifiers through its analytics contract. Advertising storage, advertising signals, and personalization remain disabled.

You may reopen the preference control at any time and change your choice. Declining or withdrawing analytics consent keeps analytics from loading for later visits under that preference.

Children’s information

SocialJet is a business marketing platform for travel advisors and related professional users. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the service. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contacthello@socialjet.ai and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated by other reasonable means, such as a notice on the website or an account communication.
